Meet Our Team
Sharon graduated with a B.S. in Pre-Professional Biology, Cum Laude, from the Florida Institute of Technology. She started her career as a research scientist, first working in an infectious diseases laboratory, and then moved to the space industry. Her meticulous laboratory techniques easily translated to the IVF laboratory, and she began her embryology training in 1995 in Virginia, under the direction of a Jones Institute fellow. In 2002, Sharon joined our team, and has been the sole embryologist since 2005. Her caring and precise attention to detail has led to the successful pregnancies for so many of our patients.
Beverly Allen, Ph.D
Beverly obtained her B.A. degree Cum Laude in Microbiology from the University of South Florida and her Ph.D. at the University of Florida College of Medicine Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her dissertation research was in the subspecialty of Human Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics. Her postdoctoral fellowship training in cancer genetics was funded by a National Research Service Award from the National Cancer Institute. Beverly has 35 years of laboratory science experience in clinical and research fields, including faculty appointments. She enjoys birding and cooking Indian cuisine.
Our Clinical Manager
Shelley Donovan, RN
Shelley joined our team in 2009. She received her BS in Nursing from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Shelley has over 25 years of experience in nursing. She has worked in Adult ICU, liver transplant nurse coordinator, research nurse coordinator, and operating room nurse. Shelley’s passion for patient advocacy has helped her excel in the treatment of infertility. At home she keeps busy with her husband and children. Shelley loves to travel, scuba dive, and spend time at the beach.
Our Medical Assistant
Krista has more than 10 years experience with OB/Gyn/Infertility and 7 of those years have been with Dr. Chamoun. Krista enjoys direct patient care and sharing in the joy when patients become pregnant. In her leisure time Krista appreciates spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys nature and all the benefits that living in Florida has to offer.
Our Office Administrator
Karen joined Dr. Chamoun in 2004 with more than 20 years experience in the OB/Gyn/Infertility field. She studied Nursing and Accounting at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. Karen is very knowledgeable in all of aspects of the practice and is passionate about assisting patients regarding insurance and billing issues. She has personal experience with Infertility and is committed to helping patients achieve a positive experience. Karen and her husband Lee have had many opportunities to live and visit many places during Lee’s military career before choosing to move to central Florida. She enjoys traveling, crafts, sewing, and most of all…spending time with her family and three grandchildren.
